Not Really Democrats

I haven't said this here, and I don't think I need a link to do it (that's procrastination blogging for ya - short thoughts with no research).

Any Democrat that voted for the Bankruptcy bill or for the cloture vote to bring it to the floor of the Senate (I'm looking at you Joementum), should be challenged in their next primary and removed from our party.

That's not voting our values. MBNA doesn't need any more help from the federal government.

That is all.

Pollo con CPR

I love the fact that this is distributed on the wires. Such vital news!

A man saves a chicken by mouth-to-beak:
Safken said he first swung the chicken by the feet to revive it. When that failed, he continued swinging and blowing into its beak.

"Then one eye opened. I thought it was an involuntary response," Safken said. The chicken's beak opened a little wider, and Safken started yelling at it: "You're too young to die!
Right, now let's eat that tastey little bastard!

Tom Tommy Tom Tom Tom

When someone asks you if you're unethical, you usually want to answer "no."

From an actual interview with the Washington Rag (er...Times):
Mr. Hurt: Have you ever crossed the line of ethical behavior in terms of dealing with lobbyists, your use of government authority or with fundraising?
Mr. DeLay: Ever is a very strong word.

And the Crowd Goes Wild!

Ever notice how when the barrista fires up that steamer at a coffee shop, it kinda sounds like a stadium full of people cheering?

I'm sitting here "working on a paper" and I keep thinking I'm being given an ovation everytime I "clean up a footnote."

Or maybe I'm losing my mind...

Tee hee.

Judicial Activism

Orin Kerr over at the Volokh Conspiracy has a little fun with the the alarmist crowing of the "Judicial Activism is the Biggest Threat Facing Our Great Nation" crowd.

I read that blog because of moments like this. But I also read that blog because I disagree with much of its politics, but I know that disagreement is with reasonable people, which moments like this demonstrate.

Finals Time - Light Blogging

Of course, this usually means I blog more to procrastinate, but I'm gonna really try not to do that this time...

So there.

Put Bubbly on Ice

The minute Delay is forced out of his leadership position, I'm gonna throw a killer party.

And you're all invited.

Delay Flameout Update

Chris Shays (R, Conn. - Reasonable Republican) takes a shit on Tom Delay. AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!!!
"He is an absolute embarrassment to me and to the Republican Party," U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays, R-Bridgeport, told more than 50 Greenwich residents yesterday morning at Town Hall. He was in Greenwich to host a public forum, open to all political parties, on whatever pressing issues attendees were interested in discussing.
This is fun!

Apparently Abramoff, Delay's lobbyist with the dirty hands, is also telling people that Delay knows about everything that's been going on. It's mutiny on the high seas I tells ya!
