One of the most striking things about Tokyo, that hits you immediately, is the juxtapoisiton of the traditional with the hyper-modern. In pictures, it looks something like this.
The shrine on top is situated in a park in the middle of the city. It is within walking distance of the thing on the bottom, which is in the middle of a shopping mall. If you can't figure out what that is, it's a place where you can pay money to go play with cats.
This town is nuts.
